Gerhard (Gerry) Kirschner is a Platform Builder and Cloud Transformation Architect at Swisscom, where he spearheads the development of essential components for the Managed DevOps Platform. His team is dedicated to advancing key functionalities, including Cluster Fleet Management (CFM) and the observability stack. CFM is integral to standardizing customer environments, automating their setup, and overseeing the lifecycle of components. The CFM’s self-service features provide users with context-aware information and secure, compliant automation tools. Gerry’s expertise in cloud transformation and platform development positions him as a pivotal contributor to Swisscom’s innovative solutions.
Outside of work, Gerry is a single father to his 14-year-old daughter and resides in ZĂĽrich. In his leisure time, he enjoys solving problems when bouldering.
