Jan Mikolon is the CTO for Quantum Computing and AI at QuantumBasel, an innovation hub near Basel. He focuses on the practical application of artificial intelligence and quantum computing in industrial use cases. Previously, he was a Principal Data Scientist at IBM and led IBM’s Center for AI in Munich.
Despite their potential, around 80% of AI projects fail to move beyond the pilot phase – often due to a lack of economic viability. In my talk, I will present economically sustainable AI use cases and explain how quantum computing can be leveraged to achieve additional performance gains and make a decisive difference in value creation.
